To go with my watch face designs for the Samsung range of smartwatches, I needed a suitable brand and logo. I elected to call my brand "Himalayan Watches", to highlight the fact that I was designing the watches in Nepal, and mostly for the activities that take place there.
For the logo, I wanted to focus on the word ‘Himalayan’ and then include the ‘Watches’ part beneath that, smaller. I would also like to include an illustration of the Himalayan mountain range, or the most famous part of the Himalayas, Mount Everest. This drawing would need to be simple due to the size of the logo being used on a watch.
For the lettering, I found a font that I liked called ‘Mic 32 New Rounded’, and I used the medium weight of the font. I liked most of it but thought I could adjust some letters to make it work better and give it a unique look.
